About Songs From Life
Creative Songwriting for Personal Growth
Hello, I’m Adrian.
Over the years, in my work as a therapist, I’ve had the privilege of listening to people open up about the parts of their lives that don’t often get spoken aloud. And one thing has always struck me, every single person carries a story within them. Sometimes those stories are emotionally fractured, and more often than not, they’re negativaly framed in the past by guilt and shame.
The idea behind Songs From Life
The idea behind Songs From Life started very simply. It wasn’t a program or a method, it was more like a gentle nudge. A thought. What if there was a space where journaling and personal storytelling could meet emotional expression through music? Not music in the polished, performance-ready sense but music that feels personal and real. Music that means something.
Personal growth through creative expression
This space is free and open. It isn’t a service, and there’s nothing to buy here. It’s just an offering something I hope might help you or someone you care about find a new way to heal, reflect, and connect with themselves through words and sound. Using music for creative expression can be very helpful.
There’s no right or wrong here. No need to be a writer or musician. Just bring yourself.
The quiet power of writing things down
I’ve always believed in the quiet power of writing things down. Taking a moment to reflect, to feel, and to just be honest with ourselves. But I began to wonder… what happens when we take that one step further and use AI? What if we could actually hear our emotions? What if the words we write could find a rhythm, a melody, even a kind of healing?
That’s when the idea of AI and expression came together, by using traditional journaling and emotional awareness, paired with the possibilities of AI music generators. It started out as a bit of an experiment, had no idea where it would lead. But what came out of it surprised me, deeply. These weren’t just songs. They were reflections. Memories. Honest moments turned into sound.
AI-assisted music creation tools
You don’t need to play an instrument or be musical to take part. You don’t need to consider yourself creative. All you really need is a willingness to listen to your own thoughts, your own patterns, your own story, and the courage to try it. There are AI music generators that will do the all work and create the music for you; all you need to do is provide the lyrics.
Three popular music generators
If you’re carrying grief that’s lingered for years, or feeling anxious for reasons you can’t quite explain, or maybe just trying to keep going when life feels too fast, there’s room for that here.
Take what speaks to you. For some, it’s the journaling that helps things shift. For others, it’s the music that unlocks something unexpected. And for many, it’s just the reassurance of knowing they’re not the only one feeling this way.
However Songs From Life finds its way into your day, I hope it brings you a little clarity, a little peace, and maybe even a moment of connection with yourself, and your inner voice.

✏️ From Journal Pages to Gentle Melodies
What if that quiet thought had a rhythm?
Think of it like this: maybe you’ve written something in your journal that stays with you—a moment from the past, a quiet thought, or a feeling that lingers. What if that had a rhythm? A mood? What if it became a piece of music that says what words alone can’t?
🎵 No Rules, No Pressure—Just Possibility
It’s not about being musical—it’s about being open
There’s no need to be musical. You don’t have to write perfect lyrics or come up with a polished song. All that matters is giving yourself space to explore. A single phrase or feeling might be enough to spark something meaningful. That little spark? That’s where it all begins.
🔍 Discovery in the Unexpected
Music has a way of showing us things we didn’t know we needed
Over time, I’ve seen people uncover surprising moments of clarity just by playing with this process. The songs they create don’t need to be perfect. They don’t even need to be shared. Sometimes, just hearing something that feels like you can bring a deep sense of release—or recognition.
🌱 Let Curiosity Lead the Way
If something inside you is stirring, follow it
So if you’re curious—if something inside you feels drawn to try—go ahead and lean into it. You don’t have to know exactly where it’s going. Just see where your story wants to go. Let the music meet you there.

Why We Create: When Words Aren’t Enough
We all have moments when our emotions feel tangled up—like they’ve got knots we can’t quite loosen. And in those times, finding a way to express what we’re feeling can make all the difference. That’s what this space is about. Here’s how turning thoughts into music and lyrics can help with some of the heavier things we carry:
Anxiety
Sometimes anxiety doesn’t even feel like a thought—it’s just a hum in the background, always buzzing. Turning those feelings into lyrics or a gentle melody can give that energy somewhere to go. It’s not about fixing it—just creating a bit of clarity, a bit of calm.
Trauma and PTSD
Some experiences go beyond words. They sit deep in the body, in the nervous system. Creating music gives us a way to express those feelings without having to lay everything bare. A song can hold things we don’t yet know how to explain.
Grief and Loss
Grief has its own rhythm. Sometimes it’s loud, sometimes silent. Music has always helped people make space for mourning. Here, it’s not about moving on—it’s about honouring what was, and finding your own beat in what remains.
Low Self-Esteem
When you hear your own words—your real feelings—woven into music, something shifts. It’s a reminder that your voice matters. That it’s worth sharing. And maybe even worth listening to with kindness.
Depression
When life feels flat or heavy, it can be hard to connect to anything. But even putting a tiny piece of that experience into a line of music can shift something. It doesn’t have to be cheerful—it just has to be honest. That honesty can quietly open the door to meaning again.
Anger and Resentment
There’s usually a story under the surface of anger. Music lets you explore that story safely, without judgment. You can shape the emotion, give it form, and let it speak in a way that feels real and freeing.
Loneliness and Isolation
There’s something powerful about hearing your own experience reflected back through music—even if you’re the only one listening. It says, I see you. And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need.
Life Transitions and Identity
Big changes—whether it’s growing up, growing older, starting over, or figuring out who you are—can bring up a mix of emotions. Writing and music can help you catch those feelings as they pass, and make sense of who you’re becoming.
Creative Blocks or Burnout
For artists, carers, and anyone who gives a lot of themselves, it’s easy to feel drained. This process isn’t about producing something perfect—it’s about reconnecting with why you started in the first place. Finding your own rhythm again.
